This idea started at work and I finally did something with it. A beautiful marriage of type, music and bad jokes.

a little poster I made recently. trying to get back into doing little personal projects more often. I think I’m gonna screen print this.

This poster is a response to the official poster that was recently unveiled for the upcoming Super Bowl in Indianapolis(http://indy.st/w0UJBe). I want to make it clear that I respect Walter Knabe’s work, but this isn’t really in his normal area of work. So I decided to make my own. I was also annoyed that while Knabe is from Indiana, he works out of New York. As a designer from Indianapolis, I can tell you there are several designers right here in this city that are more than capable of making something that better represents our city for such an important event.

I saw this quote on Asher Roth’s blog and thought it was hilarious. I hand drew the portion that says “your chick”. The rest is a typeface that I manipulated a bit. I want to make t-shirts eventually or maybe submit to threadless?
